Wordpress MU
I have installed an instance of Worpress MU (or multiuser) so as to allow faculty easy access to a blog hosted here at the college. I know Havard School of Law and Umass Amherst both use this system for both their faculty and students. It is now maintained by the Teaching Learning Center staff.
I would like to integrate it with the LDAP login on campus. Also, if I get some time, I will make Dutchess wordpress themes and widgets for people to use rather than the basic few I have incorporated so far.
The question has also come up whether students should be allowed to create blogs under this system. Currently the answer is no, perhaps we could do as SUNY Stony Brook does and have some featured student blogs, otherwise it would be too much of a hassle monitoring them all.
