I have been
teaching at Dutchess Community College since 1992, and I am a
former student of the college. In addition to my college
education in fitness and teaching, I am certified as a group
exercise leader and personal trainer. I taught in clubs for many
years, and also acted as an Aerobic Exercise Director. I have
choreographed for and performed in the Dutchess Community
College Dance Club's annual performances. Back in 1987, I
competed in an amateur bodybuilding competition and placed
second.
I fell in love
with fitness at the age of 18 and knew that my career had to be
involved with it. I love to exercise because it has done so much
for me. This is the message that I try to pass on to my
students: that exercise has not only physical benefits, but can
make you a more productive, creative, and energetic person, not
to mention a better student! It can improve your outlook on life
and contribute to your success now and in the future! I hope to
reach my students with this message and encourage as many as
possible to adopt a fitness & wellness
lifestyle!
