About Me

Home About Me ESW Human Sexuality WFE Department Campus Student Comments GIFT Program

My background is in Human Performance Science and Health Education.  I studied at Adelphi University and Queens College and am currently enrolled as a doctoral student at Columbia University, Teacher's College.  In the fall of 2003 I completed a second Masters Degree in Health Education from Columbia Teachers College.  I enjoy fitness and health education and have been active for the better part of my life.  At age four I began Ballet which led to Jazz, Tap, and Aerobic Dance.  Once introduced to fitness I knew what I wanted to do as a career.

I have experience as a Personal Trainer, Aerobic and Fitness Director, Aquatics Director and Swim Coach and now as tenured faculty at Dutchess Community College.

On the personal side, I have been published in Parents Magazine, American College of Sports Medicine, and as a fitness model in Shape Magazine, New York Times Sport Magazine, Weight Watchers, and a guest host on "It Figures" exercise show on Lifetime Television.  I am happily married with three beautiful children.

My mission is to spread health and wellness throughout the college and touch each one of my students lives'.
