Richard Reitano is Professor of Government at Dutchess Community College (DCC), and he is an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Vassar College. He is the recipient of DCC’s first Endowed Chair for Excellence in Teaching established by the college’s Foundation. Professor Reitano is co-director of the college’s Public Issues Forum that sponsors, along with The Poughkeepsie Journal, the annual National Issues Forum. He is a member of the board of the National Collegiate Conference Association, Inc. which produces the annual National Model United Nations in New York City. Professor Reitano’s most recent publication is Multilateral Diplomacy and the United Nations Today, published by Westview Press in 1999.
