Mr. Diemond taught at Bennett College in Millbrook from 1969-1977 and has been at DCC since 1977.
Mr. Diemond is co-director with Richard Reitano of the DCC Public Issues Institute, which organizes community wide discussion of national issues in National Issues Forums. These forums are co-sponsored by the Poughkeepsie Journal and other community organizations.
He is currently involved in research on civic education with other faculty from around the nation as a part of a project supported by the Kettering Foundation and he is at work on a project for the American Political Science Association about the use of National Issue Forum materials in the political science classroom.
In Dutchess County Mr. Diemond is Chairperson of the Millbrook Zoning Board of Appeals and Chairperson of the Dutchess County Planning Board
